Why Tinubu assigned me Ministry of Solid Minerals – Dele Alake

President Bola Tinubu’s choice to send Dele Alake to the ministry of solid minerals development has been explained by Alake.
Alake claimed that Tinubu gave him the job because it was in a ministry that was sensitive to Nigeria’s economic revival.
At the Presidential Villa in Abuja, he addressed the media after being sworn in alongside 45 new ministers.
Alake revealed that, in contrast to popular belief, he requested the president give him the ministry.
When I was appointed the Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy at the start of this government, I first learned about that issue, claims Alake.
As you are aware, the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development occupies a delicate position during this time of economic revival. Therefore, I specifically requested Mr. President to give me that post, and he complied. The ministry is crucial to the administration, thus the president sought someone he could trust to do the job well.
