Woman Arrested For Brutalizing Her Step Daughter And Also Beating Her Husband
An unidentified woman has been arrested by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for the brutally beating her stepdaughter in Maryland, Enugu State.
According to the details of the incident, the suspect who is a nursing mother was arrested on Saturday, 8th October, 2022 after some people saw the injuries she inflicted on the child, made a video of it and informed NAPTIP officials in the state.
It was also said that this was not the first time she had beaten her stepdaughter and left her with injuries all over her body.
When the victim was interviewed, she said that her stepmother flagged her with an electric wire because she made a mistake and bought 4500 electricity unit, instead of 4015 she was told to buy. Not only is the child being physically abused, whenever her father tried to defend her, he was also beaten and physically assaulted by his wife.
The child, who is currently in custody of NAPTIP officials has been taken to a hospital for treatment and recovery.
