Edo 2024: ‘Let’s shake the table’ – Female LP guber aspirant declares
The female candidate for governor of Edo 2024, Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor, has pushed for women’s participation in partisan politics.
Loretta bemoaned that many Nigerian women were at the back door during election season. Loretta is running for the state’s top job on the Labour Party ticket.
The candidate asserts that it is time for women to assume leadership roles in politics.
This was said by Oduware Ogboro-Okor on Monday at the LP secretariat in Benin, not long after she publicly announced her desire to run for the Edo 2024 governorship.
Many women are constantly at the back door; it’s time we occupied our rightful place in the political sphere; we need to be there at the table in order to shake it.
We are grateful that all of our fathers are willing to stand with us in our efforts to bring light to the state, and we appreciate them for their support,” she remarked.
