Police confirm killing of man, family members’ abduction in Abuja

The assassination of one Mr. Benjamin Ogundare and the kidnapping of his family members in Ushafa, Bwari Area Council, Abuja, have been confirmed by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.
The victim was shot and two family members were taken away to unidentified locations by gunmen who raided the area behind the LGEA Primary School Ushafa, according to an exclusive report by Newscrescent.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Police Public Relations Officer DSP Josephine Adeh confirmed the tragedy and stated that the command had initiated a vigorous manhunt to rescue the victims.
The PPRO claims that on Wednesday morning, a distress signal was sent to the Bwari Divisional Police Headquarters, which prompted the command to dispatch its tactical and intelligence resources to the area.
“When the hoodlums spotted the officers, they fled after shooting Benjamin Ogundare and kidnapping Goodluck and Janet Ogundare.
“The victim was taken urgently to the hospital, where a doctor on call pronounced him dead.
While the inquiry is ongoing, an aggressive manhunt and rescue mission has been initiated to find the criminals.
