2023: Presidency requires physical, mental energy – Obi

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) nominee for president, claimed on Saturday that he possesses the necessary physical and mental stamina for the job.
Speaking during a campaign event in Osogbo, Osun State, Obi claimed that both he and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, were still youthful and had the drive needed to lead Nigeria.
If elected, the state would become the center of reliable electricity, he mourned, pledging.
“Both physical and mental energy are needed for this profession. When the time is right, people should retire. People in Nigeria are starving, young people lack employment, and it is unsafe to travel anywhere in the country right now. These problems are the result of those who claim to have a party structure, but these structures have destroyed Nigeria. By voting them out next month, I aim to demolish these institutions.
“We will reunite and safeguard Nigeria. We want Nigeria to take pride in its national identity. A safe Nigeria will be delivered by us. Nigerians shouldn’t be housed in IDP camps, say we. In your own country, we don’t want you to be a slave.
We’re going to rule this nation out of reverence for God. You’ll get jobs from us. Nigeria will transition from being a consumer nation to a producer nation.
“These folks incessantly boasted about their constructions while doing nothing. Youth unemployment and the lack of production in this state are issues that we will address.
Our money was stolen by those who own structures. We’ll take on corruption. Before entering politics, my vice and I ran our own businesses and made money from them. To date, we have never taken money from anyone.
On election day, they’ll offer you money, keep the money, and get you to vote them out. Because we will make the country function, we will put an end to the strategy to make Nigerians beggars, Obi pledged.
