Banky W Loses Eti-Osa Reps Election For The Second Time As Labour Party Records Sweeping Win In Lagos
Bankole “Banky W” Wellington was defeated by Labour Party candidate Thaddeus Attah in the election held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, ending his second effort to represent Lagos’ Eti-Osa federal seat in the House of Representatives.
The music icon who ran on the PDP ticket lost to Attah, who received 24,075 votes, while Babajide Obanikoro, the current APC legislator, received 16,901 votes.
This comes as results from the Lagos presidential election released by INEC as of 8 am on Monday, February 27, 2023 show a resounding victory for the Labour Party.
