Ganduje Swears In Meseko, Five Other NWC Officers Amid Protest
Despite fierce opposition from the party’s state chapters in the states of Cross River, Abia, and Kogi, the APC has formally swore in the six new executives to the National Working Committee.
At around 8.45 p.m. on Friday, the party’s national headquarters hosted the hour-long inauguration, which was led by Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the party’s national chairman.
The protests by Yahaya Bello, the disgruntled governor of Kogi State, the former senator for the Cross River South District, and the Abia APC led to the current event.
In contrast to the names of nominees they provided to the ruling party, all three lawmakers characterized the election of the officers as an imposition.
