7dead and 5 injured in Niger auto crash

On Tuesday night, an automobile accident at Gunu village in the Munya Local Government Area of Niger State resulted in the deaths of seven people and the injuries of five.
The collision involved a Toyota Camry and a Sharan commercial bus, according to Mr. Kumar Tsukwam, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Niger, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna on Wednesday.
“The accident included twelve people, seven of whom died and five of whom were injured.
“We found N36,200 in addition to a bag of yam, a Nikon camera, two chargers, a cord, wedding invitation cards, a flash drive, a phone battery, four keys, photos, and a little bag.
The deceased were placed to General Hospital Mortuary Minna, while the injured were rescued and sent to the closest hospital for treatment.
At the Munya Divisional Police Office, the vehicles were “turned over to the police,” he claimed.
Tsukwam attributed the accident on one of the drivers’ speeding and loss of control, and he recommended drivers to always follow speed limits to prevent collisions.
