Ramadan: ‘Seek Laylatul Qadr with greater commitment’, Comrade Ishowo charges Muslim faithful
As we step into the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan, a Public Affiars analyst, Comrade Ishowo Olanrewaju, has enjoined the Muslim Ummah across the globe, particularly in Nigeria and Kwara State, to seek the Night of Majesty (Laylatul Qadr) with greater spiritual commitment from tonight until the final night of the blessed month.
Comrade Ishowo reminded Muslims of the profound significance of the night, as stated in the Qur’an (Q97:3), where Allah declares that Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months, a period equivalent to more than 83 years and four months of worship. He, therefore, urged the faithful to maximise this rare opportunity through increased prayers, supplications, recitation of the Qur’an, and other acts of devotion.
He also encouraged Muslims to seize the moment to forgive anyone who may have wronged them, emphasising the importance of cleansing the heart and fostering unity within the community. In the same vein, he called on the faithful to strengthen the bonds of kinship and promote love, compassion, and harmony among family members and neighbours.
Comrade Ishowo, who issued the statement from his base somewhere in the country, further charged well-meaning Muslims to extend hands of support and kindness to their relatives, the less privileged, and orphans, noting that acts of charity and compassion are among the deeds that attract immense rewards during the blessed nights.
He equally encouraged Muslims to intensify prayers for leaders at both the state and national levels, asking Allah to grant them wisdom, knowledge, and the courage needed to address the growing insecurity in the country and restore peace and stability to all troubled areas.
Finally, Comrade Ishowo urged the Muslim Ummah to remember Muslims around the world in their prayers, particularly those facing conflicts, persecution, and humanitarian crises, praying that Allah grants them safety, relief, and lasting peace.
He concluded by wishing all Muslims a spiritually fulfilling final phase of Ramadan and prayed that Allah accepts their acts of worship and grants them the blessings of witnessing Laylatul Qadr.
