Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Juventus Target Ademola Lookman
Ademola Lookman has been one of the breakout stars of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, and his performances have not gone unnoticed by some of Europe’s biggest clubs. According to Turkish transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, and Juventus are all monitoring the 26-year-old Nigerian forward, who currently plays for Atalanta.
Lookman has enjoyed a steady rise in his career since leaving RB Leipzig for Atalanta in 2021. He impressed last season with 13 goals and eight assists in 31 Serie A appearances, and he has continued that form this season with seven goals and three assists in 18 games.
His performances for Atalanta earned him a place in Nigeria’s AFCON squad, and he has been one of their standout players in the tournament, scoring three goals and one assist in five games. His most important goal came in the quarter-final against Angola, where he scored the only goal of the game to send Nigeria through to the semi-finals.
Lookman’s current contract with Atalanta runs until 2025, and he is valued at €30 million. However, if he continues his impressive form, Atalanta could demand a much higher fee for him in the summer transfer window.
Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, and Juventus are all looking to strengthen their attacking options, and Lookman would be a good fit for any of them. He is a versatile player who can play on either wing or through the middle, and he has a proven track record of scoring goals and creating chances.
It will be interesting to see where Lookman ends up playing next season, but one thing is for sure: he is a player on the rise, and he is likely to have a bright future ahead of him.
