2023: “Vote Peter Obi or else…” – Adebanjo

Nigeria “would be in peril,” according to Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the chairman of the Yoruba socio-cultural organisation Afenifere, if voters choose someone other than Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president in the 2023 election.
According to Newscrescent media, Adebanjo’ stated Nigerians should only choose Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, as the country’s next president if they do so in the spirit of fairness and equity.
“Nigeria will have problems if they vote somewhere other than Obi. Adebanjo is quoted by the Daily Trust as adding, “Anything outside Obi, we are in trouble.
In response to a question on why Nigerians shouldn’t support Atiku Abubakar or Bola Tinubu, the elder statement said: “How are you going to excuse Tinubu after Obasanjo had spent eight years? Or how do you defend Atiku when President Muhammadu Buhari, another Northerner, is departing the country? That is the essence of the situation.
“The South-West has done it, the South-South has done it; does the South-East not belong to Nigeria?”
