EFCC to go after ‘corrupt’ public officials from May 29 – Bawa
The chairman declared that the anti-graft agency will not submit to intimidation while discussing his dismissal.
He claimed that he was the first EFCC boss called to testify in court.
“And what do you expect, there is a stay of execution? We continue!
How many of our cases ended in failure? We earned 3,785 while losing 41. What exists? What are we discussing? Who is the loser? Who doesn’t lose? No one is successful or unsuccessful. But that is how it is!
“It occurred in 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023, and it will again occur in 2023. We are historical scholars.
“They are merely attempting to convey to the new government that the chairman has to be replaced, perhaps because the chairman is acting appropriately. It simply involves corruption retaliating. Nothing further!
But they are unaware of the truth that we have worked harder than ever to institutionalize the EFCC’s operational actions over the past few months.
Whether Bawa is involved or not, the EFCC will continue to carry out the good deeds and bring the prosecutions we have planned.
