Wike has touched tiger’s tail, invited discomfort – Melaye

Dino Melaye, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor in Kogi state, retaliated against Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state for dismissing his bid for the position.

In a message posted on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday, Melaye claimed that Kogi was not a Rivers state where Wike chose the next governor and that instead, God has that authority.

Recall that earlier on Tuesday, Wike disqualified Melaye from running in the PDP primary, which comes before the Kogi governor’s election on November 15.

When you give Dino that ticket, you already know he won’t win in Kogi State, the man said. Why would Kogi residents claim they would support a person like Dino? Are you serious?

But Melaye responded that it was unexpected that Wike had suddenly become the self-appointed public office regulator, able to control what would occur in states.

He (Wike) needs to understand that the agony of a bird hung on a rope has now become his portion since he stroked the tiger’s tail and killed sleep, according to Melaye.

Stay in your lane, Wike. Daniel Dino Melaye here. My specialty is training lions, whether they are black or white, living in caves or swimming in rivers, he declared.

“Wike should be reminded that Kogi is not Rivers, and the people of Kogi State would not worship any foreign God,” he continued, “once he recovers from his inebriation.”

Above all, Wike needs to comprehend that God is the true owner of power and that he may grant it to anybody he pleases, even the lowest of men.

“Today, Wike can criticize me and rule that I am unfit to lead my state, but has he forgotten that he supported my bid for governor in 2019? Please tell him that I have held elected office in the Federal Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as well as the Federal House of Representatives.

Melaye claimed that Wike is opposed to his bid for governor because he backed PDP nominee Atiku Abubakar in opposition to the governor’s interest in the G5.
