According to Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, President Bola Tinubu ought to be grateful to the PDP’s G-5 or Integrity Group members for their assistance in ensuring his win in the 2023 presidential election.

This was said by Fayose during a speech for the Sunday Politics program on Channels Television.

He asserted that Nyesom Wike, the recently-resigned governor of Rivers state, is qualified to serve as a minister and “must serve” in the Tinubu administration.

The G-5 is made up of one current governor, Seyi Makinde (Oyo), four PDP ex-governors: Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Samuel Ortom (Benue), and Nyesom Wike (Rivers).

Fayose responded, “What is wrong with that? ” in response to the likelihood of Wike serving in Tinubu’s cabinet. How does that impact anyone? Even though I don’t want to be a minister, what is Asiwaju (Tinubu) worried about if he says, “Fayose, you will be minister,” and I agree?

Wike needs to be in the cabinet, please. Wike is capable of serving Nigeria. Wike is a smart, competent individual. Please consider serving in Asiwaju’s government if he or any of the G5 are deemed worthy by Asiwaju.
