BREAKING: Buhari, CBN Gov, Emefiele meets in Presidential Villa amid naira scarcity
At the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Muhammadu Buhari met with Godwin Emefiele, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The third private meeting between Emefiele and Buhari since the nation’s cash shortage began.
However, the CBN Governor avoided speaking with reporters as he walked out of the Presidential Villa.
At the time the report was filed, the meeting’s agenda was not known.
Nigerians have been affected by Naira scarcity since February 10 as a result of the currency switch.
Beginning in December 2022, the N200, N500, and N1000 notes were redesigned by the CBN.
