El-Rufai: Peter Obi Reacts To Being Called Nollywood Actor

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), responded to Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai after referring to him as a Nollywood actor.
Recalls El-Rufai referred to the previous governor of Anambra State as a Nollywood actor who was unable to win the elections and would receive a meager 1% in the north when appearing on TVC’s Journalists’ Hangout.
However, El-assertion Rufai’s would allow him to step up his efforts to court more Nigerians, increasing his percentage in the north of the country, according to Peter Obi in an interview with Arise TV.
The LP flagbearer emphasized that Nollywood is a crucial sector in Nigeria that requires development.
Peter Obi claims he is pleased to be associated with the Nollywood business and has asked for everyone’s assistance to ensure the success of their operations.
I like what El-Rufai stated; at least he offered me a percentage, so I’ll endeavor to raise those percentages, he said. He also acknowledged that I am an actor and that I believe the country’s inability to unleash the forces that will propel its development is what is preventing it from progressing.
One of the most important areas I want to concentrate on is developing our entertainment sector, which includes Nollywood. Now that I’m a well-known actor, I’m requesting support from everyone in the sector because I am one of them.
“What else can you do when people in the business know that I’m one of them? So that we can guarantee the success of their company model, I desire their support.
El-comment Rufai’s has received criticism from the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), which claims it is offensive and insulting.
The response was expressed in a statement released on Saturday and signed by Kate Henshaw, the Guild’s director of communication.
The group is requesting that the governor of Kaduna State recant the aforementioned comments and issue an apology.
The governor’s use of an actor to make such examples in that situation, according to AGN, is stupid and haughty.
