Lekan Adekanbi, the sole suspect arrested in connection with the murder of Kehinde Fatinoye, an employee of the Central Bank of Nigeria has allegedly escaped from police custody in Ogun State.

The police declared Adekanbi to be the main suspect in the crime when Kehinde Fatinoye, his wife, and their only child were killed.

Up until the day of his death, Adekanbi had been the CBN staff member’s driver.

Adekanbi had been taken into custody by the Ibara police divisional headquarters to help in their investigation.

The suspect complained of having a fever on Tuesday, and two officers from the Ibara division reportedly drove him to the hospital.

According to a source, “Adekanbi apparently pretended to need to urinate at the hospital in order to flee.”

The source claims that from the time of his arrest until he was taken to the hospital, the suspect was not handcuffed.
