3,470 to Perform Hajj in Kwara – Pilgrims Board
The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has said a total of 3,740 pilgrim’s will visit the holy land from the state.
The Secretary of the board, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, confirmed this in an interview with Sobi at an enlightenment programme for Intending Pilgrims from the Sixteen Local Government Areas of Kwara State and non-Kwarans who will travel with the Kwara State hajj Board.
He said National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) approved 3,740 for 2023 intending Pilgrims for Kwara state adding that they have gone far with the process of the 2023 hajj exercise.
Also speaking, Chairman of the board, Dr Abdulkadir Sambaki, urged the 2023 intending pilgrims to be patient, adding that all efforts have been made to ensure they have hitch free exercise.
Speaking earlier, the Grand Kadi of Kwara State Shariah Court of Appeal, Justice Abdulateef Kamaldeen in his brief sermon urged the intending Pilgrims to corporate with board and also have fear of God in all their dealings.
The Chief Imam of Ilorin Alhaji Mohammed Bashir Soliu prayed for the intending pilgrims to have a successful hajj programme.
