I, Ọmọoba Adetunbi Lawal-Aníṣulògun, from Aofin compound Araromi-Opin, Opin ward of Ekiti Local Government, wish to extend my warmest congratulations to the resilient people of Ekiti Local Government on the unanimous approval of the 2026 budget, aptly tagged ‘Renewed Hope’.

This milestone achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our leadership to the development and progress of our beloved local government. I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Chairman of Ekiti Local Government, Hon. Awelewa Olawale Gabriel, and the distinguished members of the legislative arm under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Chief Michael Fatoyinbo Olajide Michael, for their visionary leadership and dedication to the people.

The priorities set out in this budget – security, infrastructure, student welfare, and technological advancement – are spot on and will undoubtedly transform the lives of our people.

In particular, as a Community development strategist, teacher and also an IT specialist I laud the plan to establish a modern ICT center/Computer-Based Test (CBT) facility at the Local Government Secretariat at Araromi-Opin, which will bridge the digital divide and equip our students with the skills necessary to thrive in the 21st century; this idea is also a game-changer, providing a conducive environment for our JAMB applicants to excel.

This budget marks a significant step towards realizing our collective aspirations for Ekiti Local Government. I urge all stakeholders to rally behind our leadership and support the implementation of these initiatives.

I also implore all the sons and daughters of Ekiti Local Government to continue supporting the transformation projects of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON-led Kwara State Government.

Together, we can build a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come. Once again, I congratulate the people of Ekiti Local Government on this achievement and look forward to the positive impact of the ‘Renewed Hope’ project 2026.
