According to Newscrescent reports, Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) nominee for president, has been accused by PDP presidential contender Atiku Abubakar of lacking the moral authority to deal with internet scammers, also known as “yahoo boys” in Nigeria.
Atiku stated in a statement that Tinubu was irritated and advised him to get medical help rather than run for president. Atiku also charged Tinubu with having mysterious wealth and involvement with drug smugglers. Atiku defended his own openness and business transactions, claiming that he has listed every business he has and has made a name for himself as a successful entrepreneur.
Atiku, on the other hand, asserted that Tinubu has shied away from discussions and hasn’t been open about his riches and educational background.
Atiku also brought up an instance from 1989 in which he prevented Tinubu and others from bringing hard narcotics into the country while serving as a Federal officer and the deputy director of Customs responsible for Enforcement and Drugs.
He added that Tinubu was frustrated and advised against running for president, saying that he should instead get medical help.
In contrast to Tinubu’s apparent lack of transparency on his educational history and preference for avoiding debates, he defended his own openness and business activities.
