Akeredolu speaks out about his allegedly deteriorating health

Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State, has stated that there is no reason to be concerned about his health.
According to POLITICS NIGERIA, Bunmi Ademosu, the governor’s special adviser on public and intergovernmental relations, was assaulted by Betty, the first lady of Ondo State, in a leaked audio recording for allegedly giving her husband a concoction to drink.
According to sources in Ondo, the governor has been suffering a very serious illness that has not been publicly disclosed.
However, the governor allayed concerns about his health in a statement on Tuesday through his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Richard Olatunde. The governor acknowledged that he had some health issues, just like any other mortal, but he had received treatment and was quickly recovering.
No life-threatening sickness that would have inspired any purported plot in the Governor’s office is currently plaguing him.
“While we appreciate the rising worries about his well-being and the outpouring of prayers—across partisan lines—we also ask all people of good will to reject unsubstantiated rumors that could lead to unwarranted fear.
While he finds quality time to rest for restored vigor and strength, just like any man in his situation, the Governor will continue to execute his official duties to the wonderful people of Ondo State in accordance with the REDEEMED Agenda of his administration, the statement partially reads.
