The 10th National Assembly leadership roles have not yet been zoned, according to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The ruling party was responding to social media rumors about the alleged zoning arrangements.

The APC’s spokesperson, Felix Morka, stated in a statement on Thursday that the material spreading on social media should be ignored because it did not come from the group.

APC will explain the decision it has made over the leadership positions in the national legislature, according to Morka.

Versions of the zoning plans for the leadership positions of the 10th National Assembly that are circulating in several social media sections have caught the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) attention, he said.

The information should be ignored because it did not come from the party.

To be clear, the party has not yet designated the 10th National Assembly’s leadership roles. Any decisions will be duly announced through the party’s official channels for information.

Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s national chairman, had announced shortly after the election that the NWC will collaborate with Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, to develop a zoning formula.

The party hasn’t made up its mind over how the jobs will be zoned, though.
