Appointment of Service Chiefs not based on nepotism – Onanuga clarifies
President Bola Tinubu appointed new Service Chiefs without using nepotism, according to Bayo Onanuga, Director of Media and Publicity for the disbanded Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Organization.
On Monday, he clarified this via his official Twitter account.
Recall that on Monday, Tinubu replaced all of the service chiefs who had been fired.
Onanuga responded to accusations of nepotism by pointing out that the Chief of Defense Intelligence, Maj. Gen. EPA Undiandeye, is from South South – Obudu, Cross River State, and Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, the Chief of Naval Staff, is from South East – Enugu.
He claimed that the appointments were dispersed throughout the main geopolitical regions of the nation.
