Aregbesola didn’t attack Tinubu’s candidacy – Spokesman

The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Bola Tinubu was allegedly attacked by the minister of interior Rauf Aregbesola, according to a piece of fake news that has been spreading on social media, according to Sola Fasure, his media adviser.
In a statement issued in Osogbo on Wednesday, Fasure also voiced concern about efforts being made by some unnamed persons to thwart reconciliation efforts meant to rally support for the APC’s victory in the presidential elections.
The ex-Osun governor, he continued, was still devoted to both the party’s triumph in the general elections and enacting crucial reforms in the Ministry of Interior and its agencies.
The statement included the following quote: “The attention of the Minister of Interior’s media office has been drawn to social media news ascribing false statements to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, regarding an attack on the person of our party’s presidential candidate, the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.” This information is untrue and deceptive.
“A pattern has obviously formed of a nefarious and concerted attempt to thwart the reconciliatory initiatives being championed by significant stakeholders within and outside of our party to rally all essential elements for our party’s success at the February 2023 presidential election.
Just last week, anxious politicians who are the writers of this nasty document bribed a few rent-a-crowd comedians to respond to a fictitious “attack” and reiterate the plot in order to derail a number of reconciliation efforts for their own selfish benefit.
Fasure further cautioned people to be aware of the “evil manipulations” of those who were behind the acts because they were trying to create dissatisfaction, distractions, and strife within the APC.
