BREAKING: APC NEC elects Ganduje, Basiru National Chairman, Secretary

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, a former governor of Kano, was chosen by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to serve as the party’s new national chairman.

Senator Ajibola Basiru was also chosen to serve as the National Secretary at the conference.

Shortly after the committee’s executive session, Senator Abubakar Kiyari, the acting national chairman, informed reporters of the NEC decision.

In accordance with Article 13(2), he added, the NEC has delegated its authority to the NWC to fill any further openings in the party’s administrative organ.

The two leaders were then given the oath of allegiance by Barrister Mustapha Abubakar.
