BREAKING: Appeal court reinstates Adeleke as Osun governor
The court of appeal sitting in Abuja has reinstated Ademola Adeleke as the governor of Osun state
Ademola Adeleke is now the governor of Osun state again according to the Abuja court of appeal.
A three-member panel of justices ruled in Adeleke’s appeal on Friday, concluding that the electoral tribunal erred in finding that Gboyega Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress had established their claim of excessive voting.
Adeleke is the legitimately elected governor of the state, according to the panel of justices who delivered their decision on Friday.
Oyetola was able to demonstrate that there was over voting in certain of the polling places, the Osun Governorship Election Tribunal ruled in January.
