EFL Cup: Fernandez’s strike helps Chelsea beat Wimbledon 2-1

In the second round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, Chelsea defeated AFC Wimbledon 2-1 at Stamford Bridge thanks to a goal from Enzo Fernandez.

James Tilley’s 19th-minute penalty for the English League Two team gave them the early advantage but Chelsea answered with two goals in the 46th and 72nd minutes.

Noni Madueke’s penalty kick kept the game going, and Fernandez’s late goal advanced Chelsea to the next round.
