Davido gifts N2m to lady who ‘mistook’ garri for fried rice

David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a Nigerian singer and the head of the DMW record label. He has once more offered assistance to Okolo Classic, a woman from the same country.

The woman garnered notoriety for an amusing video in which she jokingly compared soaking garri to eating fried rice.

The viral video, which was first uploaded by well-known Instagram influencer Tunde Ednut, featured Classic’s witty narration as she set out on a late-night errand to get “fried rice” since she was starving and short on food.

After watching the video, the music celebrity contacted Ednut and asked for the woman’s bank information, saying he wanted to give her N2 million to help with her financial difficulties.

Following that, Ednut posted the details online while complimenting Davido’s generosity.

He praised Davido’s enduring kindness and recalled other occasions when the musician had donated unprompted financial support to those in need. Tunde Ednut asked his followers to pray for Davido, acknowledging that the musician needed support and that everyone encounters difficulties.

Ednut stated in his announcement, “You see why we all adore Davido? He’s done it numerous times. He’ll laugh after seeing and say, “Tunde, help me give that guy a million Naira,” and then he’ll say, “NO Announce Am.” Ooo! But in this day and age, this specific one costs N2,000,000. I had to let others know. Do you mind if we say a quick prayer for DAVIDO?

We do know that he is wealthy. Even though he didn’t have to, he nonetheless did. Most people will simply chuckle and carry on, but OBO, no!
