INEC Finally Releases List of 93.4m Registered Voters

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), 93,469,008 registered voters—49,054,162 men and 44,414,846 women—are eligible to cast ballots in this year’s election.

At a meeting with the 18 registered political parties on Wednesday in Abuja, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of INEC, said this.

He urged Nigerians to disregard these hints, stating that there is no plan to change, postpone, or cancel the elections or other scheduled events.

According to him, 49,054,162 men and 44,414,846 women will cast ballots to choose the president, governors, and members of the national and state assemblies in the elections of 2023.

Males make up 52.5% of the total, while females account for 47.5% of the population, according to a breakdown of the data.

According to statistics, Lagos State leads the list of states with the most registered voters with 7,060,195, followed by Kano State with 5,921,370, and Ekiti State with 987,647.
