Jose Mourinho opens up on possible return to Chelsea

Jose Mourinho, manager of AS Roma, has said he’s open to making another trip back to Chelsea to take Graham Potter’s position, who was fired.

Mourinho acknowledged that he might quit Roma as speculation about a possible return to Stamford Bridge grows.

The legendary manager from Portugal was speaking to DAZN when he mentioned Roma CEO Pietro Berardi, who had maintained the former Manchester United manager will stay with the club despite others.

I don’t communicate with family, pals, or reporters. If our CEO [Pietro] Berardi said he was certain I would remain a few months ago, then that is his opinion, Mourinho said.

The Portuguese international continued by saying that he could leave the Serie A giants and that contracts are not the most essential thing in football.

From a contractual perspective, the situation is crystal obvious; I still have one year left on my contract. When it comes to sports, contracts aren’t always the most crucial factor.
