JUST-IN: Bayern Munich Suspend Sadio Mané For Assaulting Teammate

Sadio Mané has been punished by Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich for punching teammate Leroy Sané after the Man City game. Sané and Mané had argued throughout the game.
Mané won’t be playing for Bayern against Hoffenheim, the club said. Furthermore, the Senegalese will pay a fine.

After Tuesday’s opening leg of the Champions League quarterfinal match at Manchester City, report claimed that Bayern Munich was considering selling Mane since he was accused of striking Sane.

Mane and Sane were both seen fighting during the 3-0 loss for Bayern at the Etihad.

When the two entered the changing room, it was believed that things got heated. The former Liverpool forward allegedly hit Sane in the face during the altercation.

Additionally, Florian Plettenburg of Sky Germany reported that the Bayern board was considering a suitable punishment for Mane in light of rumors that it would “go beyond a fine.”

Plettenburg stated that the club and player might be “separated” by the board, which was exploring a number of options.
