Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo state, has commanded the immediate arrest of Adams Oshiomhole for enlisting thugs to rob banks and disturb the quiet of the state while claiming to be protesting the new currency scarcity.

On Wednesday, the governor issued the directive via Chris Nehikhare, the state’s commissioner for communication and orientation.

Chris Nehikhare, the state’s commissioner for communication and orientation, received the directive from the governor on Wednesday.

We spent the entire day touring the city, talking to some of the demonstrators, and conducting our research. More than what first appears has been found, according to Mr. Nehikhare.

We would now like to request that the security services contact Adams Oshiomhole for questioning. Particularly in Benin City, he need to be detained and forced to give an explanation for his movements during the past few days.

The commissioner declared that “Oshiomhole purposefully provoked the people’s protest.”

The commissioner continued, “I know people will assume the protest is a result of a shortage of naira notes, but even if that is the case, Nigerians should be aware of the political party involved because it is ironic that the political party that is in charge of this policy is also the party that sends people to demolish PDP billboards.

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman Oshiomhole has won the party’s nomination to contest for Edo north senatorial seat.
