Kogi Assembly confirms 2 commissioner nominees, 50 SA’s

Two commissioner nominees presented to the Kogi State House of Assembly by Ahmed Usman Ododo, the state’s executive governor, have been approved.

During the house session in Lokoja on Tuesday, the eight Assembly confirmed the nominees for Commissioner.

Atuluku Levi Victor of the Omala State Constituency and Dr. Adeniyi Helen Aderibigbe of Ijumu are among the commissioner nominees ratified by the hollow chamber.
It was reported that the Ijumu commissioner nominee was instructed to bow and leave in observance of International Women’s Day this year.

Speaking to reporters just after her confirmation on Tuesday, Dr. Adeniyi Helen Aderibigbe pledged to do everything in her power to carry out the administration’s election-season pledges.

Aderibigbe reaffirmed her resolve to use effort and hard work to bring honor to Kogi State and Nigeria.

The first thing to bring in is innovation, as the name of my ministry suggests. We’ll assess the current situation. It’s true that this ministry is new, but it’s not an odd one.In terms of the ministry, precedence exists. We’ll assess the situation as it stands, conduct our own analysis, and identify any areas that require improvement. We will make the necessary changes if they are needed. In the event that restructuring is required, it will be done.

That’s the innovative part of it, and it will promote applying science to practically any problem that arises. We will examine each issue and then devise strategies for resolving them. These, to us, are its technological aspects. In terms of technological advancement, I want Kogi State to be the model that other states would follow,” she continued.

Additionally, 50 special advisers were approved by the Assembly to work under the Kogi State government.
Recall that in a letter to the house, Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo confirmed the appointment of 50 special advisors to serve in his cabinet.
