Kwara indigenes in Lagos endorse Sanwo-Olu for second term
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, joined Kwara residents in Lagos State yesterday to support Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, for a second term, saying it is time for retribution.
The minister asked Kwara residents to turn out in large numbers and support all of the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidates running for office on Saturday during a speech at an event organized by former and current political office holders in Lagos.
On Saturday, Alhaji Mohammed spoke in support of the governor, his running mate, and other APC candidates. He said, “My people have thrived in Lagos; our ancestors made their fortunes in Lagos and used the proceeds to develop our various communities at home. We, their successors, also profit from Lagos State’s benevolence. My people have been offered possibilities by the residents of Lagos State that they haven’t had elsewhere. We have had and continue to hold a variety of political posts, including chief of staff, commissioner, member of the House of Representatives, Assembly, council chairperson, and others. Thus, it is now or never for the people of Lagos State.
For a newbie, Lagos is too big, Hamzat
Lagos is too big to be an experimental state, said Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the deputy governor who attended the event in Governor Sanwo-stead. Olu’s Lagos is too big for a newcomer or someone still learning to take charge.
Thus, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, our governor, and Obafemi Hamzat, our deputy governor, both comprehend the dynamics of the state. He is aware of the demands this situation places on him.
We don’t need to conduct experiments on individuals who have never exercised control.
“Lagos is too significant, so we implore Lagosians to maintain the status quo and vote for the APC on Saturday.”
