Nigeria’s Flying Eagles Star, Sulaiman Alabi Jojo gets heroic welcome in Kwara

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles star and Elkanemi Warriors prodigy, Sulaiman Alabi Jojo, on Monday was the cynosure of all eyes at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of Major General Agbasika Innih Stadium in Ilorin, Kwara State capital during the NPFL matchday 22 clash against Kwara United.

An original home boy himself, Sulaiman, who was introduced in the second half of the game, had an impressive performance for the maiduguri based side despite their 2-0 loss to the home team.

Apart from having 15 of his passes completed, Alabi who was brought in to the game in the final quarter had his passes rated to be (13/15), representing 86% accuracy.

It would be recalled that Alabi was an integral part of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles team that won the WAFU-B championship back in October pf 2024 under the tutelage of Coach Aliyu Zubairu.

The La Planet Sport Academia’s graduate also played a key role in Elkanemi Warriors’ promotion to the NPFL from the Nigeria National League (NNL) and also helped his team win the President Federation Cup(FA Cup) back in June in Lagos last year.

At the blast of the final whistle, Sulaiman was instantly crowded by fans, relatives, and supporters alike who had thronged out to see him play.

The name of the talented midfielder rented the air as they sang his praises in admiration for his recent achievements and performances.

As Alabi continues to display his exceptional skills on the pitch of play, he’s been widely tipped as one of the talents for the future of Nigerian football.
