President Tinubu cancels all fresh appointments at NTA
President Bola Tinubu has ordered the reinstatement of Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA as he reverses all recent management changes at the public broadcaster.
According to a statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Tuesday, Dembos, who was appointed in October 2023, will now return to his position to complete his three-year tenure.
Also reinstated is Ayo Adewuyi, as Executive Director of News, who was appointed in 2024. Adewuyi will continue in office until the end of his tenure in 2027.
The President’s directive also nullifies the previously announced appointments of a new Director-General, Executive Director of News, Executive Director of Marketing, and Managing Director of NTA Enterprises.
