Real Madrid defender wants to leave Ancelotti’s side amid interest from EPL giants
According to El Nacional, David Alaba, a defender for Real Madrid, reportedly wants to quit Carlo Ancelotti’s squad due to interest from Premier League powerhouse Manchester United.
According to the report, Alaba’s recent performances have not pleased manager Ancelotti.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Man United, is certain he can persuade Alaba to sign with the Red Devils.
In the summer of 2021, Alaba moved from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid.
Since then, the 31-year-old has made 85 appearances for Real Madrid, contributing seven assists in addition to five goals.
Last season, the Austrian played 39 times for Madrid across all competitions, scoring twice and providing three assists.
The player’s estimated market value is €40 million, and his contract is set to expire in the 2025–26 season.
Man Utd recently acquired the likes of Raphael Varane and Casemiro from Real Madrid.
