Super Eagles Coach Peseiro Eyes Contract Extension After AFCON Success
Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, has stated that he is in negotiations with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to extend his contract.
The present agreement with Peseiro expires at the end of this month.
During the just ended 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, or AFCON, in Cote d’Ivoire, the Portuguese led the Super Eagles to a second-place finish.
This month’s contract expires at the end of mine. The 63-year-old said to TVC News Nigeria, “I am communicating with the NFF to find out about my future as I go to bed today.
“I need to rest right now because I’m exhausted—everyone is, too, but we’re talking about my future together.”
Peseiro has been connected to the open position of Algerian chef.
