Tribunal Adjourns Hearing On Peter Obi’s Petition To Wednesday

The Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi’s case has been tabled by the Presidential Election case Tribunal (PEPT) till Wednesday, May 10.
On Monday, the Tribunal started hearing the petitions submitted by disgruntled presidential candidates.
LEADERSHIP previously reported that Justice Haruna Tsammani, the chairman of PEPT, had rejected the Action Alliance’s (AA) appeal challenging Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election victory in the February 25 presidential election.
After the petitioner withdrew it on Monday, the Tribunal dismissed it.
Oba Maduabuchi, SAN, the petitioner’s attorney, withdrew it and asked the court to dismiss it.
The petition’s defendants made no objections to the petitioner’s prayer.
