2023: Southwest will succeed Buhari; we are not bastards, Tinubu
Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, insisted that President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor would come from the Southwest.
According to Tinubu, the Southwest helped the North produce a president and would succeed Buhari in February.
He addressed at a gathering for his presidential campaign in Osogbo, the state capital of Osun.
Fuel and cash shortages, according to Tinubu, won’t deter Nigerians from electing him president on February 25.
“We worked with the North to choose a president of Northern extraction; now we (Southwest) will succeed them.
“Nobody removes a palm nut’s seed by acting politely. None of us are bastards. They were placed there by us, and we shall be their successors.
We have come a long way, and no matter what you do, we will not give in to your attempts to frustrate us. We appreciate everything you did for us, he remarked.
