El-Rufai: “We Will Expose Aso Rock Cabals’ Identity”
Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, threatened on Thursday to reveal who the “cabals” in the Aso Villa are.
El-statement Rufai’s comes a day after he claimed that some individuals in the Aso Villa are conspiring against Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
Because their candidate did not win the APC’s nomination for president, the Kaduna State Governor asserted that the cabals are against Tinubu.
El-Rufai, however, asserted in a TVC interview on Thursday that Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election will lead to the disclosure of the cabal’s name.
“Unmasking them (the cabals) is not as pleasant as destroying them,” El-Rufai added.
They will soon be revealed. When they attempted to have their supporters elected to the APC’s national working committee, we beat them. We beat them when they wanted their own chosen person to run for president without regard for the law, the electoral process, or even with respect for those of us who are governors, who organized the party, ran its campaigns, and won the election twice.
“We didn’t matter because we are governors, and while some people claim that governors are dishonest and nasty, none of them have ever run for office and won an election, and even if they did, they wouldn’t succeed.
I can assert that I speak for the people since I was twice elected governor of Kaduna State with over a million votes, unlike any of these (cabals). The unmasking stage will arrive; this isn’t it yet. The next step is to alert Nigerians to the fact that some individuals are engaging in this behavior with bad intent toward our party, hoping to turn voters against us and cause us to lose the election.
By the grace of God, the election will be completed and settled in about three weeks. I am confident that once this happens, Nigerians will understand where the strange decisions are coming from. When this happens, and until the election results are released on February 27 and, by the grace of God, Bola Tinubu and other candidates of the APC are elected, we will reveal who they (the cabals) are.
