7 guber candidates align with PDP’s Ashiru in Kaduna

Seven candidates for governor in Kaduna State have backed Rt. Hon. Isah Muhammad Ashiru Kudan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in their effort to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 11 governorship election.

All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), National Rescue Movement (NRM), Youjg Progressive Party (YPP), Action Alliance (AA), Allied People’s Movement (APM), Action People’s Party (APP), Zenith Labour Party, and (ZLP).

After careful consideration with their members and supporters throughout the State, the rescue and rebuild gubernatorial candidates forum, headed by Ambassador Sanin Yaya, said they have decided to work with the PDP candidate to overthrow the All Progressive Congress (APC), which has caused the Kaduna people so much suffering.

“Today, we desire to proclaim our support and commitment to RT. Hon. Isah Muhammad Ashiru Kudan, the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP,” the candidates for governor declared.

“We made this choice after thorough deliberation with party members and the decent citizens of Kaduna State. We are certain that Isah Ashiru Kudan is the only candidate who can unite the State because of our sincere desire to establish one indivisible state regardless of tribe or religious divides.

These are evident in the way he is organizing his campaign, which is focused on establishing Kaduna State, and in the choice of his running mate, which has fairly represented both Christians and Muslims, the two main stakeholders in the State.

Isah Ashiru chose to support issue-based campaigns alone and embrace religious coexistence while some desperate politicians converted the political sphere into a hub of religious sentiments.

“I want to take this chance to remind the wonderful people of Kaduna State of the misery and suffering this APC administration has caused them, from unfairly high tax rates to authoritative leadership and ego. From the increase in tuition at postsecondary institutions to the illegal firing of local government employees, teachers, and traditional leaders.

Due to the fact that the APC candidate would continue the state’s anti-masses policies, and because he is merely a puppet of his paymaster, we urge our people to avoid voting for him.

RT. Hon. Isah Ashiru Kudan, Sarkin Bai Zazzau, and his Excellency Dr. John Ayuba have been endorsed as our consensus candidates by myself, Amb. Sanin Yaya, the governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party, and the other five candidates from the AA, APM, APP, APGA, and NRM, as well as the leadership of Accord party and ZLP, today, March 6, 2023.

In order to make Kaduna State better, we thus implore the good people of Kaduna State to turn out in large numbers on March 11 and vote for Ashiru/Ayuba.

The PDP’s governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru, thanked the other candidates for the office and pledged to lead an inclusive government if elected on May 29th, 2023.
