APC Clears 9 National Assembly Seats in Kwara

At the elections on February 25, the All Progressives Congress (APC) won all nine seats in the National Assembly for Kwara State.

Indications from Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) results throughout the 16 local government areas indicate that the APC won the state’s three Senate seats and six House of Representatives seats.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, also won the North Central State by a sizable margin.

Oyelola Ashiru and Sadiq Umar, senators from Kwara South and Kwara North, respectively, were re-elected.

By defeating Bolaji Abdullahi of the PDP in all four local government areas in the senatorial district, Mallam Saliu Mustapha won in Kwara Central.

At the National Assembly, the opposition parties, including the PDP, SDP, NNPP, and others, were defeated by the ruling party.
