APC wants to sabotage 2023 presidential election, PDP screams out

In a desperate attempt to incite Nigerians to cause an uprising and disrupt the 2023 general elections, the Atiku/Okowa Campaign Organization on Friday accused Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, of sending campaign officials to spread hate speech against prominent leaders in the north and other regions of the country.

This was stated in a statement released by Kola Ologbondiyan, the party’s spokesperson, who also noted how the ruling party’s flag bearer, “who is heavily agonizing over his impending defeat in the 2023 general elections, having been rejected by Nigerians,” has now turned to inflammatory statements and the deployment of high-ranking members of his campaign, including a governor in office, in an effort to incite political unrest.

“Our Campaign invites Nigerians to note how notable arrowheads and supporters of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign have been moving around different media outlets to spew hate speeches and promote blackmailing narratives apparently with the aim of undermining our national unity and derailing the electoral process,” the statement continued.

As part of Tinubu’s ongoing incitement of his supporters to use violence, fight, and seize power by any means in the 2023 general elections, such high-ranking members of the Tinubu Campaign are reportedly given orders to attack peaceful and well-meaning Nigerians, issue threats, incite mob actions, promote riots, and engage in other acts of violence in different parts of the nation.

Nigerians still vividly remember Tinubu telling his supporters in London recently that “political power is not going to be delivered in a restaurant, it is not served a la carte.” You must do it at all costs; fight for it, seize it, and take off with it. That is what we are doing.

Additionally, Nigerians will remember how Tinubu stoked his supporters’ belief that the February 25 presidential election will be a “revolution” by making outrageous claims during an APC campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Whatever the situation, Tinubu has since stated that he does not think highly of Nigeria as a country. The fact that he is willing to set our country on fire for his own gain makes it clear that he is running for president for reasons other than the welfare of Nigerians.

However, it is pitiful that a two-term governor who has been hurling divisive accusations at our country’s leaders would turn himself into a willing instrument only for personal gain.
