The Blue Rail Line project, which began in 2010 under Babatunde Fashola’s administration, has officially come to an end, according to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Sanwo-Olu could not contain his excitement when discussing the subject with Asiwaju during a business lunch. According to him, Asiwaju had the idea for the Blue Rail Line project in 1999.

Asiwaju has elevated the Lagos State legacy administration to the top of the governance food chain, according to Sanwo-Olu. From mile 2 to marina, a distance of 13 kilometers, five stops are covered by the finished rails.

“The infrastructure for the first phase of the Lagos Blue line rail is complete, and this is a strong testament to our dedication to building on the achievements of previous administrations,” he stated. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visionary initiative got underway in 1999. A number of significant modifications to Lagos’ transportation system that began in 1999 have culminated in the establishment of the city’s rail mass transit system.
