BREAKING: Tinubu Arrives Nigeria After One Month In Europe

After spending more than a month in Europe, Bola Tinubu, the president-elect of Nigeria, has returned to the nation of West Africa.
At 4:30 pm on Monday, the plane carrying the former governor of Lagos State landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
About a month before his inauguration on May 29, 2023, the All Progressives Congress (APC) veteran who had been absent from Nigeria since March 22 came back.
In addition to many other senior party members, he returned with his wife, Senator Oluremi, and they were welcomed by Kashim Shettima, the vice-president-elect, and Simon Lalong, the governor of Plateau State.

Tinubu was proclaimed the winner of the election on February 25 and elected president.
After questions about his absences arose on March 22, Tinubu’s spokesman, Tunde Rahman, said that his principal had traveled to Paris, France, to rest and perform the lesser hajj. Since his post-election win appearances in February, the President-Elect has not appeared in a public photograph.
Tinubu received surgery and physical therapy for a knee ailment while he was abroad in the UK in 2021 for more than three months. He subsequently made several trips to Paris and the UK in 2022.
