Don Jazzy addresses rumours of sale of Mavin Records
Michael Collins Ajereh, better known by his stage name Don Jazzy, is a music executive and the CEO of Mavin Records. He has finally responded to the rumors regarding the label’s sale.
Mavin Records “is seeking investment or eying a potential full sale with bidding coming from the Universal Music Group, HYBE and strong interest from music asset investors in the financial sector, according to sources,” according to a Billboard report dated October 2023.
Don Jazzy, however, implied in a recent interview with the Zero Conditions podcast that the company is being approached by investors rather than looking to sell.
He clarified that foreign investors support Mavin Records because it is profitable and has a lot of potential.
Don Jazzy pointed out that although Mavin and Kupanda Holdings have been partners for five years, the holdings will not keep the collaboration going “forever.”
“It” (the rumors regarding the sale of Mavin Records) is straightforward, he stated. Our investors, Kupanda Holdings, are going to be alright because they have been here for the last five years [laughs].
It’s clear that a lot of individuals want to invest in Mavin. People will always come to you if you own gold or diamonds. Mavin Records also has a great deal of promise.
