Tinubu advises APC governors on ways to impact lives

Governors chosen on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, have been urged by President Bola Tinubu to create and carry out policies that put the interests of all Nigerians above their party allegiances.

This occurred as he made suggestions about deploying forest guards armed with firearms, more advanced technology, and better training in order to bolster national security.

The President stated that inclusiveness, ownership, and sustainability are necessary for development programs to truly find their place in people’s lives as he hosted members of the Progressive Governors Forum, or PGF, at the State House in Abuja on Friday.

President Tinubu informed the governors that while partisanship is one of the nation’s greatest problems, the governing party must endeavor to mend and unite the nation by securing a shared national vision and allocating resources and energy to nation-building.

“You have the power to change others. You can persuade them to support you, he said.

According to the President, Nigeria is too endowed with natural, human, and financial resources to be experiencing a shortage of first-rate infrastructure, top-notch healthcare facilities, and high-quality education.

He declared that inclusion, efficacy, and efficiency will be the hallmarks of a completely redesigned financial system for the nation.

“We have no reason to be poor. The President remarked, “We are not a cursed country, but blessed, looking back at where we have come from, where we have been, and why we are facing infrastructural decay, a lack of quality and comprehensive education, as well as a lack of health facilities.”

In order to make the school-feeding program more comprehensive and successful across all states of the federation, President Tinubu requested the governors to develop a framework that would take into account the unique characteristics of each locality while aiming to have all children enrolled in school.

Our school-age children are not enrolled in school. Including all governors—including those from the opposition—in the school feeding program is one method to advance education. Please give it your full attention.

“The kids shouldn’t be treated like statistics. Their return to the classroom should be our yardstick for success. Economic growth ought to be measured in terms of empowerment and value. A committee should be formed to investigate the procedures. “I’m willing to contribute to school lunches,” declared the President.
