Kwara PDP Inaugurates Over 3,000 Canvassers For Atiku, Yaman

On Tuesday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State officially introduced more than 3,000 vote-gatherers, dubbed “Diplomats,” for its presidential candidate Atiku Abukakar and its governorship candidate Abdullahi Yaman, respectively.

Dr. Mahmud Babatunde Ajeigbe, the state’s director general of the Atiku/Okowa Campaign Council, said during the occasion that the organization’s major goal was to canvass and mobilize voters for the party in the state’s 16 local government areas.

“This is required since there is a significant knowledge vacuum and a need to further educate the electorate regarding voting procedures and party preferences.

Whoever has reached out to the most people who agree with the message being given would win this election, he claimed.

In addition, Ajeigbe said that in order for people to support the PDP, which he described as “the party that can turn things around in 2023,” they “need to know, be educated, and be enlightened.”

He claimed that the PDP’s efforts to retake power could not be made solely through the media.

Over 3,000 “diplomats” can be found throughout the state. We have a structure that is representative of each ward and the local government, along with three coordinators for each.

Whoever has reached out to the most people who agree with the message being given will win this election.

The canvassing will be based on the peculiarities of each area, which is why it is spread across the entire local governments in Kwara state, he said. “That is why you see that different content will be brought out because different areas have different peculiarities and needs, ” he said.

The organizer and founder of the Abral Development Initiative, Opeyemi Alao, hailed the Atiku/Yaman diplomat as a fresh take on renewing democracy in her remarks.

The country needs immediate help given the current scenario. The only way the vision of Alhaji Atiku and Alhaji Abdullahi Yaman can be realized is via concerted efforts powered by the enthusiasm of young, patriotic Nigerians.

“Our Vision is to gain patriotic hearts for Atiku and Yaman for the sole reason that PDP wins the 16 local governments in Kwara state and Nigeria to enable growth, security, prosperity, and abundance.”
