Re: False Claims of Apology by G7 APC Stakeholders, Ekiti Local Government

The attention of the G7 APC Stakeholders in Ekiti Local Government has been drawn to a misleading publication titled “Ekiti APC Clamps Down Against Party Rebels, as G7 Group Regrets Actions, Offers Apologies.”

We wish to categorically state that G7 Ekiti Local Government dissociates itself completely from this false and mischievous narrative.

G7 Ekiti Local Government comprises respected and committed APC stakeholders across the wards. At no time was any apology rendered to any self-acclaimed chairman or individual.

Our position remains unchanged, and we stand firmly by the communiqué issued and published across various social media platforms two days ago.
We strongly condemn the continued impunity of the House of Assembly member representing Ekiti Local Government.

The unilateral appointment of his personal assistant as supervisor for the APC E-registration exercise led to the disenfranchisement of many loyal APC members.

Furthermore, the imposition and replacement of ward stakeholders who oppose his personal political agenda and the alleged pre-determination of party executives before the forthcoming congress are unacceptable and undemocratic.

We also reject attempts to distort the events of the recent meeting, including false portrayals of individuals and proceedings aimed at misleading party members and the public.
G7 Ekiti Local Government remains loyal to and strongly supportive of the Executive Governor of Kwara State while standing firmly against all forms of impunity and abuse of party structures.
